Opened as George IV in 1824, The Angelic was renamed after the film The Angelic Conversation, directed by Derek Jarman, who lived opposite the pub during the 1960s. Situated in the heart of Islington, The Angelic pub boasts huge windows and high ceilings, especially the ‘Sistine Chapel’ on the first floor, forming a beautiful backdrop for friendly staff serving seasonal British food.
